Updated as recommended and now App does not work at all

App no longer shows property to access account, even with proper credentials. Inconsistent performance. Not user friendly.

Title says it all. Can’t sign in on the app but I can on the website.

Design is not user friendly and has not improved in the years I’ve been using it. How about some fresh features like Siri integration or “quick add” for a temporary guest coming for the day?

Often does not save your guests’ information. Sometimes doesn’t even show your property when opening. Very frustrating.

Does not work half the time. Will not even open one’s account. Unreliable, so what’s the use?

The app is so unreliable. i wish my HOA would use another app.

Every time I open this app I’m lucky if my “property” ever actually loads. If it does, it’s a 1 in 1million chance my “permanent” guest list actually loads in.

The app hasn’t been working on my phone for several weeks now. I hope it was a temporary problem or glitch, but now it seems to be out of commission. Now, I can only register guests if I go the website. This is a hassle. Can’t understand why the app has not been fixed yet.

there is no prompt to create an account!

I no longer receive text notifications, my property disappears from my profile, at times I can’t login. I’ve tried everything, I had by profile reset, uninstalled and re-installed app, logout, then log back in. Works for a while, then suddenly it doesn’t. Other residents in my community have the same issues.

I did he did the app. I don’t even even use it anymore. It’s awful. I’m constantly having problems with this app this time it won’t even open! Fix it. Update, years later and I’m still having problems with the app!

Tried logging out and back in. Shows up on desktop but not phone. Same account.

On iPhone se3, the done button does not show on calendar. I have to scroll down to find it before the date for a temp guest is entered. Can we just double click on the date for entry instead?

My properties are missing on the new app. It’s completely useless now.

This has to be the worst designed software in the history of humanity, far surpassing that of even the famous “Abort, Retry, Ignore” dialog in decades old Microsoft Windows. I have no idea how much time or money was spent on tearing apart the old app and putting this abomination in its place, but those involved should spend the rest of eternity with their heads hung in shame, and may God have mercy on their souls.

The basic setup for a guest is easy enough, but if you copy a person's phone number from your contacts, and the number is formatted with parentheses around the area code, a space, and a dash after the first 3 numbers, the app completely barfs, and just pastes in the first few numbers. I even tried removing the parentheses, the space, and the dash in Notes, and the paste still fails, because the app barfs on the formatting codes still present in the copied data. The only way pasting a phone number works is to manually remove the non-numeric characters, so you have a bare 10 digits with no spaces, then select it and choose Share..., and then copy from there, which copies plain text only, no formatting data. Please have your developer smarten-up the phone number paste. All this stuff can be detected and handled programmatically, if the programmer is willing to do a little bit of pre-processing work on the copied data. Programmers should do this work so users don't have to!

I have less hassle signing in and the app appears to be more responsive. But the GUI seriously needs a makeover.

Is there a zero star? You should be ashamed of yourself for presenting such horrific software. Not a joke truly mean this.

When entering dates, the app should assume the first date is today and the second date is today. Then if it’s different, the user can change. this would save making four selections in most instances. Also, if the user only has one account, it should go directly to the input section rather than making the user select the account. This is all about streamlining the app, and reducing the number of entries necessary.

I’m so tired of trying to get into this app and it never works !

Not a good app. It’s not reliable. It freezes, lags, and unresponsive. Not good for anything.

Just updated the App and it has the worst new user interface. It took me nearly ten tries to enter a vendor’s name on my account. I keep receiving messages that I couldn’t log in due to no internet (I clearly had internet), the screen was superimposed on to itself a couple of times and it would not allow me to save my entry another 2-3 times. Entering info on the old version was much easier. Gigeela

It was great until today 10/27/23 and now is no longer working. Reinstalled, restarted phone, and tried everything possible. App loads and just shows a blank screen.

I don’t even know where to begin. It’s buggy, glitchy and not user friendly. Icons are placed in weird places (setting icon is under the battery/signal icons on the top right of the screen lol). Seems like it was made by a college student and never updated. What are we paying for? Hire some good developers and fix your app.

Why would the app not start with the current date? Why does it start in 2021 then I have to hit the button at least 24 times to get to the current year and date.

But that’s not a surprise because every update makes the app worse. Does anyone at Frontsteps think about the user experience? I’m running for the board of my HOA to get our community to stop using this app. It is awful. An excel spreadsheet would work better than this app. #1 app in what category?? Most frustrating??

I can’t access my contact from the app. It makes it very difficult to add my guest manually.

Who writes the code for you app? Elementary school kids? You people need to get with it. Every time you provide an update, you just make the app worse that it was, which I still don’t even know how that’s possible to do so.

Each time the app is updated my RFID to the gate doesn’t work and the app is also not working. Then after a couple of days everything starts working again. Why does this keep happening. The old app worked great for years.

Does not access your contacts after You tell it to!!!

Was able to have my phone contacts available in app so inviting guests was easy. This feature has disappeared and now I have 10 random contacts as my only options. What happened to this feature???

This app is pretty much the worst I’ve experienced, and the most recent update has managed to make it worse. It doesn’t access your contacts properly, preferring a seemingly random small subset that I can find no logic for. Name entry doesn’t even auto capitalise the first characters of a first and last, or company name - lazy. The phone number field will only accept a number with no brackets or country codes, which means you can’t copy and paste from a contact - lazy. If they’re this sloppy about the user facing side of the app, I fear for how they might (mis)handle user data.

When I try to allow a guest that is in my contacts, it can’t find them. Before, I could add a guest from my contacts. On iOS 16.6 but it has been this way for awhile.

Can’t update profile photo or details, after allowing access to contacts, contacts still aren’t able to be accessed. Text notifications come minutes sometimes hours after the notification trigger.

Ever since our community switched to this app for community guest access and alerts it has been nothing but headaches. We only get alerts sometimes. I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall multiple times. Seriously this company needs to fix these known issues!

This app has always been glitchy and difficult but it seems to get worse. The contacts now don’t load and when you enter in names it deletes the previous info….

Cannot pull up contacts in app, have to manually write in guests each time. Other have this same issue.

Zero stars. Ever since the last release the app stopped sending text notifications to guests with QR codes. App is very clunky. With almost zero features. It desperately needs a feature to extend multiple guest passes all at once instead of having to do each one manually. The app is not very intuitive. The date field needs a logic so the date defaults to current month when you pick “from” instead of staying at previous month.

Attempting to add a Guest from contacts is broken. Cannot search iOS contacts from Manage Guest or Create Guest screens. This should be one of the critical functionalities of the app. This is bad for residents but worse for small business owners who have to register all of their clients. Please address in next update.

Inability of the app to link to “contacts” for easy upload of names/vendors for community access turns what should be a few second job into a multiple minute time waster of back and forth data entry. Then, to make matters worse, the system doesn’t have the ability to cut and paste phone numbers from contacts to the app, as the app doesn’t accept (doesn’t understand) parentheses and dashes that are installed into the phone number in contacts. The UI is half decent, but the application of generally accepted technologies is disturbingly weak.

BUG ALERT: Latest update last week lost the ability to hit “create new contact” and hit “+contacts” doesn’t search thru my phone contacts anymore. Ugh. Pls update and fix!!

Effed up app. No contacts show up only the ones manually added. Fire the developer
